This procedure is to install onto a new machine or when you have completely removed HGSI and Quotes Plus from your existing machine.

GENERAL NOTES:

1. If you have an existing copy of HGS Investor software and have created some of your own filters, chart views, warehouse views, combos and user groups you will need to export them from the existing HGSI and import them into this copy of HGS Investor. As an alternative you can make a copy of your old HGS Investor and AFTER installing the new copy of HGS Investor replace the new copy you just installed. (See Tech Note procedure Backup-Restore-Move)
2. The Quotes Plus database Customer ID and Password, when needed for the installation, must be entered in all lowercase with no spaces.
3. If you don't remember your QP ID and Password, they should be displayed on the Member Services page after you LOGIN.  If they are not visible, select the option to have them emailed to you.
4. Do not select Commodities during the installation process unless you have previously subscribed.  Without the separate subscription, you will get an authorization required error when you try to download.

Minimal Procedure

1. Make sure you have your QP and HGSI user id's and passwords
2. Login to the HGSI website and download the "HGS Investor Software and Quotes Plus Database"
3. Run it. Make sure both QP & HGSI are selected. If you subscribe to Commodities check that option.
4. (Optionally) check Mutual funds

Detailed Procedure

Start by Logging into the HGS web site
www.highgrowthstock.com/memberarea

1. Select from the Downloads Section:
   "HGS Investor Software and Quotes Plus Database"
2. Follow the downloading instructions that appear on subsequent pages and "Save" the special download installer to your Desktop. (This is a very small file that is used to download the larger setup file)
3. Double click on the desktop icon for "Qp3HgsWebSetup.exe" that you just downloaded.
4. Click on the Run button to start the installation.
5. Follow the instructions shown below.
