The safest and easiest way to provide for backup\restore of HGSI is a simple Copy and Paste of the entire HGSI software folder located on your computers hard drive using the Windows Explorer. You can Paste the copy onto any disk drive device. If you paste it into the same location from where it is copied, Windows will simply name it "Copy of HGSI". This makes it very convenient to switch to the backup by doing a simple Rename of the two folders

HGSI was designed to be self-contained within its own folder. It is not necessary to "uninstall/reinstall" HGSI if you follow this approach. You can easily put the copied HGSI folder onto a new machine when necessary or move it between your desktop and laptop computers.
