In his book, Kirkpatrick uses three principal methods for selecting stocks. He calls them "Relatives":
- Value (EPS Rank)
- Growth (RS Rank)
- Price Strength (PSR Rank)
Each method he uses looks at "relative" data---that is, data compared to other data to create rankings. On a daily basis, High Growth Stock Investor uses his formulas to update the rankings for each of the three principal methods. (see chart)
